Current Projects
The Salem Exchange Club participates in many of the National Exchange Club’s Programs of Service, as well as, programs and projects that are unique to our own local club. Through the Programs of Service – Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and our national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse – members support activities that benefit youth, promote pride in our country, and honor military and public service providers, to name a few.
Christmas Tree Sale
A long-standing tradition and major fundraiser of the Club is the Annual Christmas Tree Sale which helps support many local non-profit organizations. Salem High School JROTC cadets help each year and earn credit at school for their community service.
Pinwheel Gardens
April is national child abuse prevention month and Exchange Clubs all over the country plant "pinwheel gardens" to raise awareness for this great cause.
Food Drive
The Club hosts a Food Drive during the Annual Salem Holiday Parade. Food and cash donations help support local food pantries.
Give a Kid a Flag to Wave
The Club distributes small American flags to kids to cultivate a deeper sense of patriotism and to heighten young American’s appreciation and admiration for our country’s flag.
Trees for Tots
The Club's Annual Trees for Tots program distributes pine saplings to first graders in recognition of Arbor Day.
